The Fresh Market in Southern Pines is offering different Thanksgiving dinner sizes, from a Traditional Holiday Dinner that serves 5-7 guests to a Deluxe Holiday Dinner that serves 6-9 guests. Both come with a 9 – 10 lb fully cooked turkey, stuffing, Yukon Gold potatoes, cranberry relish, turkey gravy, and yeast rolls. The Deluxe Holiday dinner also comes with a 2.5 lb petite spiral ham, corn souffle, and smokey green beans with bacon.
As an added bonus, if you pre-order your holiday meal in-store before November 22, 2015, you’ll receive a coupon for $5.00 off $25.00.
Pinehurst Resort in Pinehurst is offering pickup or delivery for their Thanksgiving dinner. It’s a Thanksgiving Feast To-Go with a November 26, 2015 pick up/delivery date. Orders must be placed by November 20, 2015. They have a set menu with traditional items like a 12-14 lb. roasted turkey, black pepper giblet gravy, fall vegetables, and pies with additional a la carte options in case you only want part of the feast.
For a Thanksgiving dinner with a BBQ twist, check out The Pik-N-Pig in Carthage. They’re offering smoked Boston Butt or bone-in turkey breast with special Thanksgiving sides (or regular restaurant sides if you prefer those) and some unique desserts. Order now and pick up as late as November 25, 2015.
Ashten’s A’Field in Southern Pines (the new carryout and catering division of Ashten’s) has a Thanksgiving Day menu that allows you to build your own custom dinner. Choose between turkey or ham (or get both), a wide variety of side dishes like bourbon collards, green bean casserole with mushrooms and bacon, corn pudding, and sweet potato casserole with marshmallows, and a long list of desserts.
Whether you want to skip cooking and cleaning and dine at a restaurant on Thanksgiving day or if you’d rather dine at your home (but still skip the cooking), Moore County offers several options to make your holidays stress-free.
Want to enjoy a delicious Thanksgiving meal without having to do all the work? A few restaurants in Moore County are staying open and will be serving a special meal on Thanksgiving Day. You do need to call ahead to make reservations, but you get to enjoy the feast without the fuss.
Elliotts on Linden will be serving Thanksgiving dinner from 11am to 5pm on Thanksgiving Day. The dinner will consist of a two course dinner and a Dessert Bar for $39 per person. Ironwood is offering six different entree choices, but the most popular is the turkey dinner, which costs $37 per person. One thing that catches a lot of newcomers to Moore County off-guard is the number of businesses that are closed on Sunday. Coming here from larger metropolitan areas, we are used to doing just about anything on Sundays. Most Mom & Pop businesses here do close on Sunday and that includes restaurants. Several small restaurants are open for the morning and after church crowds, but the selection dwindles after 2:00pm.
